April in the studio

I spent a whole week in another studio space! - At the Glass Workshop at ANU (Australian National University). Visiting artist Norwood Viviano taught a 6-day workshop on 3D printing and glass casting. I had such a great time, though with little sleep, as I crammed learning the 3D software in the evenings.

Loading the first casts - A scanned 3D bust of every student.

My first chaotic foray into Rhino 8 -3D modelling software. 3D prints after figuring some commands out. Cast glass students! I'm in turquoise.

Getting the hang of a few things.

Clockwise:

My 3D print bust.

Setting up for pouring a mold.

A very busy mould room.

Mould is set.

The Prusa is printing

30+ moulds ready to melt out 3D prints

Spike in glass!

After the workshop, I started on a new Selkie-themed art project for me. Starting with taking a life cast of a friend's face - thanks, Dylan!
