Folklore fix

It was so good to see @folklorethursday get a shout out in the Guardian yesterday. Dan Coxon says "In this age of smartphones and digital media, it’s been a joy and a wonder to see how folklore has survived. The popularity of the #FolkloreThursday hashtag on Twitter has already moved beyond mere survival and become a lively, international community.."

The #folklorethursday community on Twitter has fast become a feature of my Thursday evenings. I particularly look out for posts from @Vengeful_Doe which are always witty and amusing. It's also a great place to ask the folklore 'hivemind' a question. Join the conversation on Thursdays with #folklorethursday or visit the website and blog.

I am also enjoying listening to the Mythos Podcast: An ongoing storytelling project focusing on region and culture specific folklore from around the world, complete with immersive narrative, lush music...and a dark edge.
