Today I set up a lifecast for artist Jenni Kemarre Martiniello. Her project starts with a silicone cast of her face.
A life cast is always fun, but doing a face is always intense for me. Making sure the subject is comfortable, working within the timeframe of quick setting times make for an hour of pure concentration!
After we peeled off the mould from Jenni's face, I reinforced the plaster part and gave it a 'foot' to steady the mould and then brushed in some hot wax.
