After drawing the mermaids from the Italian pots last month I then turned my attention to the Dragons, wyrms, wyverns? I have been sketching them for my daily drawing. As "grotesques" these characters seem to only follow the whimsy of the artisan's brush. So, I have also gone for whimsy and drama.
Form for pot grotesques seems to be:
un proportionate wings
weird noses
a penchant for nibbling drapery
A maudlin expression
A lack of teeth for snarling and biting
